I contacted 5 mortgage brokers to get preapproval letters. While they all had comparable rates, John was consistently the fastest and most proactively communicative of everyone I contacted. He called a minimum of once a week over the ~2.5 month process from getting preapproved to moving into a new home, and he kept me updated on the process and rates along the way. We were actually clear to close from the lender about a week ahead of the closing date. If you're shopping around for a mortgage broker, I absolutely recommend going with John!

John was great to work with. To make my offers more attractive in a competitive market he had me pre underwritten and followed up with the sellers' agents in support of my offers. After I had an offer accepted, he guided me through mortgage rate movements after I had locked to time out an advantageous rate float down. Throughout the process he was always available and willing to explain the technical ins and outs of the borrowing process and mortgage rate movements to me, who was new to the whole thing. His mortgage insurance rates were also the best I was quoted.
